Whilst I guess it was the logical next step in the development of our portable charge assortment, it wasn't an easy task getting to grips with the in's and out's of the soft goods market. We knew that we wanted the products to be both functional and stylish - but the world of zips, fasterners, water resistance, PU/Leather, and stitching was all new to us :)
That said, we were lucky enough to find a manufacturing partner that helped us to turn our dreams into reality and we are delighted to announce the imminent arrival of the Ampbag in three (3) different variants. Black, Red/Green and Blue (featured).
Built from a completely weather proof material the Ampbag safely protects your sensitive (and expensive) tech regardless of the conditions outside. Internal pockets (including a dedicated padded section for laptops) assist with managing and storing your day to day essentials. We used YKK zips/fasterners in the build ensuring that the bag will last as long as the tech it's carrying (we hope a lot more!)
Whilst we like to think that the team @ box are pretty fashionable and "down" with the latest fashions and trends - we decided early on that whilst we can design, tool and build our own power and connectivity products we should seek the help and advice of an expert connected to the global market for luggage and bags - from that consultation/process came the colours we are launching with..
So what makes the Ampbag special? A number of features that we have incorporated into the bag:
1. The most obvious feature is power. We carry more tech with us (it's great to have a bag!) that requires power and charging during the course of our day or on our travels. As a market leading manufacturer of portable charge solutions it made sense that we build our tech and smarts (auto detect, auto power delivery, size and weight) into the bag itself. Now this has been done before - but what is new is the ability to charge your devices without the need to hunt for your power pack, or use the complicated connectivity paths inside the bag. How is this possible? Simple - we wired our portable chargers to an external USB port that sits there on the outside of the bag.. Now regardless of whether you are jammed into a subway train like a sardine, in the park, walking to a meeting or in the air - you can simply attach your tech to the port on the outside of your bag and power will flow automatically - et voila!
2. We have built into the internal part of the Back Pack a dedicated pouch to hold our market leading Lithium Polymer charge solutions. This allows for safe transportation of the power element of the bag and easy access to the charger - whether this be to charge the unit, or simply remove it should you not be taking the bag..
3. At launch we are offering the assortment with a choice of either our Portable Smartphone charger - 3000mAh (capable of 2 full smartphone charges/emergency tablet charge) or our Portable Tablet Charger - 6000mAh (capable of 4 full Smartphone Charges and a full charge to a tablet).

4. As the power pack is removable it allows for upgrades as power technology evolves or there is a need for a higher capacity charge solution (we are launching a 10,000mAh and 15,000mAh solution). We will offer customers who have bought the Ampbag preferable terms on all future purchases online to futureproof their purchase of the bag.
